The low pressure port is behind the passenger fender liner. Remove the right front tire so you can remove the liner.

Detach the wheel arch trim panel on the passenger's side (driver's side shown).

  • Remove six bolts.
  • Remove the trim panel.

SOURCE: can't find the fitting to recharge the air conditioner

  • The low-pressure service gauge port valve is located on the suction accumulator.
  • The high-pressure service gauge port valve is located on the LH top of the condenser core.

  • To access the low pressure port you have to remove the right front wheel and inner fender.

SOURCE: my 2003 ford focus is over heating quickly

    1. Does the cooling fan turn on when it over heats?
    2. Check your coolant level, if it is a little low it will cool normally under transit and over heat in the conditions you are describing. Also have your coolant check for proper dilution.
    3. If your cooling fan is failing to turn on you may have a coolant temperature switch issue.

SOURCE: Where do I add freon

It's not an easy one to find is it? I'm gonna do my best to explain its location. You need to get at it from underneath the car for starters. On the passenger side wheel well, well just to the inside of it engine side you will see the acumulator (dryer) where A/C hoses are going in. Behind the back of it slide your arm up in there (about a foot up from the bottom of the acumualtor) reach up in there. If you feel around up there you will find it. You already know and I'm sure I don't need to tell you but you still will not be able to see it. I do this for a living and the first one I can remember doing took me about twenty minutes to find so your not alone believe me. Anyhow, I hope this helps you and good luck.

My ford focus st170 is leak foamed water under the carpets passengers sides only and boot passenger side only

air conditioner/heater compressor's or evap canister is leaking on the floor. It is very common with the focus. After time that water begins to stink! Try silicone to seal the leaky component which would be above the floor mat.

Where do i put freon in on a 2005 focus

Your focus should not take freon. Freon is used in older cars from 1995 on back. Your focus should take R134 and the plug for your AC should be located under the passenger side wheel well (yes ford makes things so convenient). Just unscrew the little plastic crews in you wheel well and attach the gauge and can of R134 (should take a little more than 2 large cans).

    2003 Fords Focus A/C

It sounds like you are low on Freon. Try bringing it to an A/C shop. They could do a recharge for you. Now days freon for your vehicle is alot cheaper than what it used to cost for R12. Good luck and if you found this solution helpful please rate it.

    Thanks - Tech101
