2007 Yukon Transmission will not change gears correctly

My 2007 Yukon has 49,000 miles and today my trucks seems to have a delay shift out of 1st then will not shift out of 2nd. However the truck seems to work in every gear when I start from a complete stop. Do have any idea what would cause this problem. Do you know the warranty on the Yukon transmission?

Is a shift solenoid very expensive to replace on the 2007 Yukon? Would this be something covered under warranty? Do know if GMC warranties are 100,000?

Normally warrarnties does not cover wear and tear but if this is electronic problem then it should..Be careful what you say to the dealers as they will try to charge you otherwise.I guess that this vehicle has an electronic gearbox and also remember these gears change according to speed and how much gas you are giving the pedals..

I belive the speed sensor broke because runs fine on the 1st gear and 2nd gear are fine when is time for 3rt it change to 3rt but rpm goes up and reject it and goes back to 2nd pretty much i can go...

take all wheels off the ground use jack stand, start engine up and put car in drive and let it run for about 5 mins, with wheel off the ground it should shift gears better, if it do you to change your transmission filter and oil, VERY IMPORTANT TO CHANGE OIL WHILE IT IS HOT! check oil to make sure no metal is in oil or heavy shavings, if shavings or metal is present you need new tranny, measure the amount of oil you take out put same amount back in, i really dont think you got a speed sensor problem you might have too much milage on your yukon, hay mon sure you service your yukon on time or else ford will excort you home, good luck mon and big up u self

My 2001 GMC Jimmy 4x4 Automatic with 84K miles. It winds when I put it in reverse and I think I only have 1st and 2nd gear. Additionally it revs high, like over 3000 rpm, delays and then eventually...

It winds up in 1st and then shifts right from 1st into 3rd. Then never shifts into 4th. Plus rev is gone. You broke the sun shell. The transmission will need to rebuilt or replaced.

95 yukon won't shift into first gear.

I don't think its plug wires. When you say it won't shift into 1st? It takes off in 2nd? Does it shift to 3rd and 4th? Or is it a shifter problem? Like it won't go into manual 1st

My 1996 GMC Yukon 4x4 transmission will only drive in 1st and 2nd

It will take off from a stop in overdrive but as soon as it shifts into 3rd at about 30 miles per hour it jumps into neutral? If yes, you have a burnt 3/4 clutch. The transmission will need rebulit. Cost of about 1600 dollars.

04 nissan sentra shifting hard

Do you have a CVT? (Continuosly Variable Transmission) I doubt that you do so if you dont, nissans are known to have hard shift into second gear you mean.(Once the car moves, its already in first gear) so if it shifts fine into other gears, I wouldnt worry too much unless it gets worse.

What you need to check is the transmission release bearing because if there is a clearance on the release bearing you will encounter this problem and also check the transmission oil.

Gear shifting problem

The 1st thing to do is have a test run on the transmission control module to see if any trouble codes are present, next have you ever serviced the transmission, fluid and filter change, should be done at 60,000 miles, on occasion this can cure problems like yours.
