My truck just stoped working will kick over but act like there is no gas I was thanking it mite be the fuel filter seeing how it has a full tanke

i just had this problem i changed everything then it turned out too be the fuel pressure regulator !!!!

Really by the way you describe it you need to check the fuel pressure. There is a valve on the fuel rail for testing it. You will need a fuel pressure gauge. It should have 55 to 65 psi. It will not run on less than 50 psi. If you have less then it will be your pump. Good Luck

Have you tried starting the truck up using Starting Fluid? If it starts and runs for a few seconds, you definitely have a fuel issue, and from the sounds of it you may have faulty injectors or fuel pressure regulator. If the starting fluid doesn't start the engine for a few seconds, you may have a spark, or ignition problem. Let me know what happens when you use Starting Fluid and I will help you out further.

When your replaced the pump did you replace the fuel filter? You may have a fuel pump relay causing you some grief. I believe it is located in the engine compartment in the fuse center on the left inner fender. Check the relay and any related fuses. Check the electrical connection at the pump. They had problems with some of them and they would get kind of hot and distort and corrode. They have new updated ones that can be easily installed.
