There are more than one. O2 sensors upstream are located in the piping before the catalytic, possibly on the exhaust manifold. these control fuel trims (mixture).

then there is one after the catalytic which is only used to moitor the converter (make sure it's working properly)

Where is the 02 Oxygen Sensor before the cadalic converter on a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe

Usually these are located on the exhaust manifold or just below the exhaust manifold and you should be able to see it in the engine bay. On V6 engines there will be one sensor on each of the 2 exhaust banks.
You will probably need to remove the engine cover to see the sensors on your exhaust.

If someone told you to replace these because you got a particular fault code I would be wary. A decent scan tool and basic diagnostics can show if the 02 sensor is working or not. Some faults often blamed on an 02 sensor are not due to faulty sensors.

Hello Corey Wilkey,

I got one thing that your OXYGEN SENSORS always
get blamed for... (sorry).

As a matter of FACT...
your whole list is where the money gets spent
first... (not so cheap: save all those good parts).

Sadly (I believe) all your troubles will resolve
started on occasion but has popped and now
might run... but definitely stops (muffler/resonator).

Onset was pretty quick... now really does not
even threaten to run anymore (catalytic convertor)

If you don't mind a filthy job two people & good
shop hoist... it is not a horrible job... but if
you are taking to an Exhaust shop... Know
your material PRICES ( and STATE laws )
you go...!!

The muffler shop can TEST & CONFIRM...

Bank 1 o2 sensor 1999 honda accord lx v6, i need the location to change it. i can not find it in the front of my car

Bank 1 is at the back of the engine compartment next to the firewall. You'll need to know if you need to change (bank 1 sensor 1), or (bank1 sensor2). Sensor 1 is located in the exhaust system between the rear cylinder head and the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is after the cat in the exhaust system after the cat.
