Most likely the battery is dead. yes lights and radio will sometime work when the battery is low. the starter needs a lot of power to start the car. try to boost it from a good battery. watch your connections, don't reverse them. keep the cable ends separted.

Clicking noise wont start

Sounds like a weak solenoid on the starter. Probably needs starter replacement. Those cars need a mechanic to work on them.

My 2002 chrysler sebring 2.4L will not start turn key and hear no clicking noise nothing at all, lights and horn work , when i jumped the battery it did nothing no clicking. what should i try next?

Check if you have power at the starter from the ignition key
Try give direct power to the starter, if still not starts, you have a bad starter

Car won't start . Clicking noise wen key is turned

It's your starter. Find location of your starter. By the flywheel. Then. Bang on it . Your car will start. You still need to replace the starter.

Theres a click and then my motor shuts off

When you turn the ignition, you only get clicking? The key being turned only gives a click noise, no engine turnover? If so, it could be a few things, but the best idea is that it is the Starter. Or, it could be out of gas, but I would think it's the starter. You should bring it in for service.

Thanks and good luck!

My car wont start battery is not dead, but wont turn over?

if the battery is fine check if you hear a clicking noise coming from the starter motor when you turn the key to try and start the engine.
If you hear this noise then this is a good indication that the selenoid has failed meaning you need to replace the starter motor.

You can give the starter motor a hit with a piece of wood as some times this will get the starter motor working just to start the car but this isnt a permanent fix and could leave you stuck if you used the car.

Now if the starter motor isnt clicking but you hear a clicking noise coming from either the cars fuse box or the ecu when you turn the key to start the car then this would indicate a problem with the imobiliser this would need testing using a diagnostic machine as their is no other way of testing this to find out if its at fault.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

if the clicking is repeated with out you releasing the key then the battry is in need of charging or replacing, if its a one click each time then the starter motor is faulty.
