Vehicle starts then you drive for short trip 2 miles turn off wont star let sit for 10 minutes starts up electrical system been checked a ok

It almost sounds as though you are experiencing vapor lock. Have your vehicle checked for fuel pressure ratings and see if they meet OE specs

YOU HAVE DIRTY FUEL INJECTORS.THEY ARE STICKING OPEN. FLOODING THE ENGINE. WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF.FILL GAS TANK UP.PUT A BOTTLE OF PRESTONE FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER IN GAS TANK.

SOURCE: starts but wont turn over

I'd check fuel line pressure,,Fuel pumps go in strange ways
and have fooled lots of people, make sure you know what the correct pressure is as it vary's from model to model,I had a Cadilac that blew me away as I thought it was ok only to find it did have wrong pressure,,replaced and runs good after that,,also if you have lots of miles on this car it could be catalatyic converter is plugging up,,notice the exhust output see if it is coming out both tailpipes ok

sounds like a battery terminal ,or earth connection from battery to chassis ,or where the power is picked up from which is the starter motor terminal ,sorry i am not very explicit but i live in spain and not may buicks to the euro here,But if i got my greasy hands under the bonnet i could no doubt find the problem

hello Aijalon.

From your description of the problem I would say there is an intermiitant electrical circuit that is staying on and draining the battery.
If after the boost it continues to run the alternator is fine.
When I see such a problem in my shop I instruct my customers to try and pay close attention to doors firmly shut, looking for light from the glovebox, trunk and making sure the interior lights shut off.
I had a Buick in on Friday that the air suspension compressor stayed running due to a stuck relay.
A month ago it was a rear defroster button sticking on a Chev.
A relay or switch could stick for many such devises.
With a problem such as yours working along with your mechanic will be beneficial.

What code is it throwing ? Some codes are what are called two trip codes ! You clear the codes an start an drive the vehicle ,no check engine light . Park the vehicle over night an bam next time you start an drive the vehicle the check engine light comes back on .

I turned my ac in an took a 30 mile trip n back. My vehicle started overheating n now it keeps overheating. Wat could be wrong with it?

Sounds like the electric cooling fans are not engaging. There is a sensor that is usually found on the side tank of the vehicle that senses coolant temperature. When this sensor goes bad it does not start the electric cooling fans and then the vehicle overheats from the extra heat produced from the AC system and increased engine load. It is not the thermostat or it would overheat quickly upon startup in about 10 minutes. Check the electric fans. Should be two of them.

Do you own a scan tool ? One that shows engine sensor data parameters ? Checking sensor data would be the thing to do .

At smog shop guy says 4 problems saying not ready go drive car for 50 miles.did that and still saying not ready

The car has to go through a certain number of driving cycles (start, drive, shut down) after the computer has been reset or the battery disconnected for an extended period of time before it will be ready, sometimes 50 or more depending on the vehicle. You could drive 1,000 miles and it wouldn't make a difference. Take your car on multiple short trips, around 15-20 minutes each, letting it sit for a while in between. Just starting and shutting down the car won't count either.

1999 cad concourse, 75,000 miles, excellent shape. have had 3 or 4 times over past 6 months: engine wont turn over. (like a dead battery but put in new one last year). dash lights, horn,security,door...

This car might not get enough exercise. By that I mean there are things that are running all the time, remote entry systems, clocks, alarm systems. You may have a new battery, but it needs to be kept up to snuff. Sitting alone in the garage with NOTHING running, the battery will lose about 1% per month in ideal circumstances. As I said, your battery is powering all kinds of things while sitting in the garage so the drain is more than the 1% I mentioned. You may want to consider a trickle charger on this car if you are not able to drive it for at least 20 miles or more per week every week.

It seems your average mileage is just under 150 per week. I'm guessing you don't drive this car much on short trips, rather the bulk of your miles were highway on trips.

2001 Camry Often Won't Start When Hot Outside Unless Jumped

well is the battery draining over the time its sitting?
could be a bad battery or alternator, and/or you might have something on the car constantly draining power from the battery.
best to have it looked at by a mechanic.
