Question about 2002 Toyota Sienna
After my owner's manual was no help, I read this post and finally removed the small tilt-out compartment next to the hood release and there it was! The fuses were clearly labeled on the back of the compartment so I changed the fuse with the extra fuse under the hood (fuse changing tool is also in the compartment under the hood...small plastic tweezer-like tool) and now my cigarette lighter works great!

Cell phone chargers commonly blow the fuses at the power points. It seems that our charger adaptors do not match the socket properly, and the positive part of the charger hits the negative of the socket, resulting in a blown fuse. If you have a charger, and it works, leave it in the socket. Don't take it with you. Repeated insertions of the adaptor to the socket magnifies this issue.

under the dash on the drivers side... there's also a fuse panel in the engine compartment near the battery...and i don't know about VW but bmw's have them in the trunk as well.... so if it's not under the dash look in the trunk.
Please take a moment to rate this solution thanks

I had exactly same problem. I could not use my GPS or charge my cell phone.
In front of the driver sit, there are actually 2 fuse boxes. You probably found the first one. A second one is located above well hidden. Once you find it, you'll find the fuse you are looking for.
