Question about 2002 Ford F150 Regular Cab
Most likely cause is the solenoid on the starter motor making the clicking sound. I would first double check that all earth leads are sound and tight. Also check the main engine earth strap to the car body is good. Unfortunately it may well indicate that the solenoid or starter is indeed on its way out.
