Battery did not have enough cranking watts to start my truck, we tried boosting it and still could not get enough cranking watts. we added another car with cables to my battery and still nothing, we moved booster cables, and now we have no power to anything, the battery still shows 12 volts what could we have shorted out?

get a boost to start it. after you start it let it charge up the battery on it's on. if it does not charge the alternator might be defective.
SOURCE: ground problem
You probably have a bad ground. Check it at the starter and at the solonoid. usally just lossen and wiggle wires several times. then tighten. I found most of the fors are at the starter.

SOURCE: battery shows 12 volts but it will not start, it
A battery voltage reading with little to no load on the battery is not a good test of the battery. The battery should be load tested, a place like AutoZone can do this for you. If the battery is more than 5 -6 years old, it is time to replace it. Also when having the battery tested, have the alternator checked as well.
