Question about 1993 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Are there two O2 on a 93 honda accord, if so give me a location besides the pre-catalyst. When obtaining the flash codes, I receive 4 3 5 ( four long flashes, three short flashes followed by five more short flashes. Forty three is the code for the O2 sensor for this vehicle. Is the five a mal-function or a single code? Also after twenty minutes of driving with stop and go traffic it sometimes backfires, but always hesitates. The gear shifter also locks in place sometimes. Should I be concerned with the transmission. I have already replaced the O2 sensor twice within 6 months. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Iput a new alarm sistem on my 2005 odyssey and chek engine light came on, code p 0420

P0420 = catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 1)

I think it is a coincidence that the check engine light came on with this code at the same time as you installed the new alarm.

the power train control module or computer checks the output of the oxygen sensors (pre-catalyst and post-catalyst) and compares them. When the post-catalyst sensor output starts to resemble the pre-catalyst sensor output with little difference, the computer sets the catalyst efficiency code. Check the output of the oxygen sensors. A worn out or lazy oxygen sensor might be at fault. If the sensors check okay, then the catalytic converter may need to be replaced. This is unusual for a 2005 unless the engine has been having misfires. Raw unburned fuel will quickly destroy a catalytic converter.

I need a radio code for a 2005 honda accord stereo is there a website where i can get the code for free and quick

I don't think you will find anyone who will give you the code for free, plus the fact it is an antitheft code, how would anyone know it is actually your radio? I suggest going to the Honda dealer where the car was purchased, they will have the code in their computer system from when the car was Pre Delivery Inspected.

Is the catalyst of a honda civc the same as a honda accord?

i dont believe it is because the accord has a larger engine and the catalyst would have to control and react to alot more combustion byproducts and store more oxygen to do it and so the catalyst is most likely larger on the accord,if u were to put it on the civic u might get codes for a leancondition or the catalyst wouldnt get hot enough to do its job

Honda accord 2.0 is 1995

Honda Accords, or Hondas for that matter do not have fuel cutoff switches. If you are not getting any fuel, either the fuel pump or the main relay is bad.
