You should grease your ball joints and tie rods. Chances are these are sealed and have never been greased since manufacturing. Go to an autoparts store and ask for a hyperdermic needle for a grease gun and puncture the boot with the needle and give it 3-4 shots of grease. Allow a day or so for it to work in and you should be fine. The repair shops will tell you to replace these parts costing you around $400. Been there before and autozone told me to try this. over a year later and no problems whatsoever from doing this. The needle does not cause the boot to leak grease as I thought it would.

When i drive my car it sounds like there is a screeching noise, possibly metal rubbing on metal coming from the drivers side tire area..it stops when i press my breaks though..there is also a clunking noise...

Squeeking sounds when the brake pads is almost totaly worn out. This is a factory desirng as a warning device. have the brake pads replaced @ the same time have the the other abnormal sound checked.

I have a squeeking noise in the front on both sides i was told it was the controll arms needign to be replaced do we need to do the ball joints as well or do they come with both when replacing

you can either buy bottom suspension arms with the ball koint atached or just replace the ball joints.

If the suspension arms are shot, then you should be able to feel this when driving over cats eyes in the road. when the wheels contact the cats eyes they wonder, the steering wil feel like its going both ways, not tight, kinda lose?

Ball joints dont squeek they knock! most times its just as cheap to get ball joints and suspension arms/control arms as one. some things dont translate that good from UK to Us the parts have different names here, but thats the same part I mean. When you remove ball joints and in most cases you have to when replacing the arms, they get damaged and rarely last long after being put back in place, you may aswell pay now for one lot of labour than pay twice.

Hope this helps

Loud sqoeeking noise when turning front wheels

is it a squeeking or a squeeling....

If it is a squeeking noise, take the car to have every thing on the front suspention lubed up, is possible it is dried out.

If it is a squeeling noise, then that means you need a new drive belt.

Suburban front tire squeek

squeaks in the front end can be any one of the suspension components....however with gm trucks it has been my experience that its probably a ball joint.........GET IT CHECKED!!!!!!!.......if the ball joint breaks the wheel will flop in the wheel well and can cause severe damage to your other suspension components as well as body damage.(can be very expensive) if you are traveling at a fast speed you may lose control and possibly crash! But most of the time a bad ball joint will break when you are going into a driveway or parking lot.
hope this helps........Good Luck!
