Molson's answer is correct. I just changed mine and all the speeds now work. Cost me $20 at the online autoparts store rockauto. Ordered Friday evening and had it in my hand Monday afternoon. I used a 5.5mm socket attached to a socket knuckle and finished the job in less than 10 minutes.

Your blower speed resistor has gone bad and you can pick one up at Auto Zone for $40.00 and takes about 30 min to replace with common tools. Auto Zone will have the step by step instruction to getting the job done all free of charge, the blower resistor is attached to the blower it self with a wire harness that is clipped on. Good luck an keep me posted, be glad to help save you some money.

2005 Pontiac Vibe heater fan working on high only

My 2005 Vibe did the same thing it was the heater resistor. It is located to on the firewall behind the glove box on the lower left side of the blower assembly. Two 5.5mm screws hold it in place (1/4 inch socket works too). I used a socket attached to a socket swivel to replace mine in under 10 minutes. Heater now works as good as new. I purchase mine online for $30 from rockauto.
