SOURCE: replacing my headlight bulb in my kia amanit 2004

  1. Open the hood of your KIA Amanti and look behind the headlight that has gone out. Locate the round knob on the back of the headlight.
  2. Turn the knob counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn and gently remove it from the back of the headlight. Carefully remove the electrical cable within the headlight housing that is attached to the back of the headlight bulb.
  3. Locate the metal clip that holds the light bulb in place by pushing the clip arm straight in and sliding it down. Remove the bulb from the headlight housing.
  4. Replace the old headlight bulb with new bulb. Secure it by sliding the metal clip up to hold the bulb in place. Reattach the electrical cable and replace the round knob to the back of the headlight housing.
  5. Turn on the headlights to verify that they are in working order.

SOURCE: The power seat switch is bad (second one) I paid 2

I am a firm believer in wrecking yard parts. You know its the switch and you should
be able to get one for 20 bucks or 50 bucks for the entire seat as the
wrecking yard may not want to sell just the switch.
But before you buy a usedseat have you checked the fuse? If the fuse is good then back to the switch. I have taking apart thewindowbutton switches and the contactsget corroded and won't operate the windows. It is a bit tricky but you should be able to do the same thing with the switch on the seat. Just lightly sand where the contact points meet and put it back together. If that doesn't work and it is not thefuse then buy the used seat and take the switch form it or better yet, if the seat colormatches yours then replace the whole new seat. Hope this helps, Raz

SOURCE: 2005 Kia Amanti; heater on driver side blowing cold

temporary solution; until the linkage is replaced. Make sure your heater is in dual mode and not turned up all the way. Then only use the face setting and close the driver vents. This will allow heat to circulate and not blow cold air onto the driver. If you use the floor setting or the defrost setting then the driverside takes over and it blows cold air. Good luck. Anyone found a diagram on how to fix it, so I don't have to take it in and pay the dealership its outrages rates? Please let me know.... egbarela@clearwire.net Thanks

2008 Kia Amanti power seat is not working on the drivers side, passenger side works

You will need either a new/salvaged motor or switch for your seat. One way to troubleshoot is to apply a 12-volt current to the seat motor's power connections and see if the motor moves. If the motor moves (even sluggishly), then the most likely culprit is the switch.
