Mazda lantis 1993

Hi, I have a 1993 Mazda Lantis.. Every now and then (randomly) when I am trying to brake, it will make a grinding sound and shudder a little under my foot. I have to try it on and off a few times before the brakes will work again. I think it may be something to do with the abs brakes!! but thats just a guess. Any ideas why its doing this?

Ive just finshed changing the rear brake pads on my Mazda lantis 94 and now it's making a scraping grinding noise when i apply the brakes

Hey Harry,
Sounds like you may have installed/mis-aligned/forgot/incorrectly installed something.. you need to get someone(a qualified pro) to look at your work.. Did you make sure the sliders were clean and had a little anti seize/hi-temp grease on them and the o-rings?
Did you tighten the lug nuts while the tires were OFF the ground..IF NOT.. jack up the car.. loosen all the lugs and re tighten the lug nuts in a criss-cross pattern..BEFORE you put them back on the ground!!
Please get someone to look at it before you drive it anymore.

Replacing thermostat 1994 mazda lantis

Hi Dave:
On many engines, the thermostat is on the engine, under the fitting that is connected to the hose that comes from the top of the radiator. Undo the 2 bolts that secure it to get to the thermostat.

93 lantis brake lights.

It could be the brake light switch that is bad. that is located under the dash behind the pedal, the pedal presses the switch and turns the brake lights on.
