I doubt your two concerns are related so i need to ask some further questions. With regards to your vents not working does it seem to only blow on the ground or center?

With regards to you a/c not blowing cold there are several faults that could cause this. Your compressor may not be working, they may be a restriction in your A/C lines, your compressor and/or evaporator may be clogged, you may have a leak, or i could be something as simple as fuse.

ok either your direction switch isn't sending the message to the motor cause its bad, or the wiring to the motor that controls the direction doors if shorted or the motor is bad.

2000 pontiac grand prix ac problem

If the compressor is working, a mechanic would check the low and high gauge pressure.
The freon has to flow thru the system to work, and the cooling fan draws air thru the condenser to get rid of the heat from inside the car.
If the ac clutch is working but the gauges show equal pressure, the compressor may be faulty.

1999 pontiac grand prix gtp dual airconditioning problem, driver side air condition is blowing hot passenger side blowing cold

Two things can be the problem, first, try adding ,a little freon,if it is low,it will only cool one side, then if this does not help, there is a door actuator motor that controls this,it could be not working, the dash has to come out to replace this actuator motor,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

It is most likely a temp door actuator motor in the dash, the dash will have to be removed to access it.

There is a recall that has something to do with the air/heat system in 2005 Dodge Grand caravans. Recall F01. Here is a link. I had mine done two weeks ago, cost me nothing. My air conditioner was overheating.

Ac vent problem

Damper/flap for driver's side is probably stuck. Try moving the selector from cold to hot several times. Also, move the recirc/outside air control if the previous doesn't work.

A/C issue with 99 Grand Prix

Check the ac filter, it might be dirty and thats why it is not blowing out enought cold air. The filter is located under the wiper cover but behind the firewall on the passengers side. You access this by lifting the hood and removing the rubber type gasket that holds both together, right on top of the blower unit.
