I would like to know what makes that the Jeep smoke after rearranging the vacuum lines is it the EVAP system on HBO or the engine vacuum lines vacuum lines

the book is free,
and real
and posted here over 300 times, search much.
all that is covered in the SM. (how to put it back as it was new)

no clues as to what the smoke is.
or where it emits from. (tail pipe end)
white smoke or black
black is rich running.
white can be burning oil and smells like burning oil (lingers)
white can be steam, aka, antifeezes burning, goes the vapors dont linger like oil smoke does and smells sweet, unlike oil smoke.

EVAP is only FUEL vent , fumes. gas fumes.
there are lots of vacuum lines
to engine
evap
brake booster
the engine hood sticker covers the majors, (smog related, )

SM , serv. man. click WK and read.

Engine check light keeps burning

Black smoke is to much fuel. Have the codes read. Driving it like this will burn out the catalyst system. Not a cheap fix.

Jeep Cherokee went from 18 MPG tp less Than 8 MPG over night.

There are several items you can check there. Your temperature sender if bad can make the computer think the engine has not reached normal temp, causing the computer to add extra fuel, Your MAP sensor can do much the same thing as can the Throttle position sensor. I'd also check the fuel pressure regulator as default is to a higher pressure than normal.
Manifold air temp and O2 sensors can do that too, but normally not that drastic of a difference.
Testing can be done using a digital multi meter and a haynes or chilton manual as a guide. Begin by having a code scan done (most larger parts stores do that free). Also, make sure the fuel system and lines aren't leaking anywhere...that can use up lots of fuel as well.

My 1998 Rav4 gives off a few seconds of black smoke at engine start. No other problems have presented. Anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance!

You may have an excessive rich mixture due to a sensor malfunction that is causing excessive fuel enrichment., The part that gets me is that you don't have a check engine light on. a 98 Rav4 is an OBD2 vehicle and should have thrown a code and turned on the check engine light ,if you have a bad sensor Black smoke is usually a sign of too much fuel, blue smoke is a sign of oil being burned and white smoke or steam is usually a coolant leak into the combustion portion of the engine, Verify the color of smoke and go from there. Some enrichment at start up is normal because cold engines need enrichment to start and run properly till warmed up.. Goodluck

My jeep grand cherokee is smoking really bad. Black smoke and it also skips. What might this be?

Black smoke is too much fuel. Bad spark plug, or plugs, bad spark plug wire or wires, bad injector, allow engine to cool, pull the spark plugs. does one look bad? Replace one or all. Plug wires don't last forever. An injector can stick open an pass too much gas :)

Runs rough, black smoke, computer bank 1 burning too lean

Sounds like bad injectors, bad O2 sensors, and or too much fuel psi. Check the fuel psi against what the service manual says. If the fuel psi is too high, your regulator is bad. If the fuel psi checks out ok, you likely have a bad O2 or bad fuel injector(s).

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo started smoking!

Fill the rad and check for leaks. Bring the engine temp up to normal, if necessary. Try not to spill any water when filling the rad, if you do, let it dry before starting the car, JKust makes it easier to find the leak. Frankster016
