Egr valve was change and the check engine light keep coming on p0404

could be carbon buildup or a bad EGR valve. Did you disconnect the battery to let the computer learn the new part? However that doesn't rule out these an open or short in the 5 Volt reference circuit Open or short in the ground circuit Open or short circuit in the PCM controlled voltage circuit or a bad pcm or you got a defective egr valve

2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Sometimes when stopping the engine dies. I have to put the vehicle is start and restart. Then the check engine light comes on. Help!!!!

you most likely have a p0404 dtc for egr valve if you go to autozone they will scan it for free if this is the case then replace the egr valve what happens is it sticks open causing an internal vacuum leak stalling out the engine.

Hi,

There is a hose from the top of yor engine vave cover, follow that hose and you will saa a circular plastic, that will be the egr valve.

you can change it by yourself, be carefull when replacing it, make sure the direction when you pull out the old one and installing the new egr valve!

hope that halps you out!

I just had my rear motor mount replaced at the dealership and now my check engine light came on and they say its a EGR code....would this have been caused from the replacement of the motor mount

no should be unrelated unless they knocked off a vacuum line, electrical connection ,check for possiable damaged wiring or failed egr valve

Chrysler pacifica

Does it sound like an exhaust leak? If so, it's probably a plug blew out of the bottom of the EGR valve.
