I want to change the transmission fluid on my Mitsubishi colt 2008 . Can you help please?
Hi Costas, Very good idea and often overlooked by too many. Its good to change the fluid once or tice a year depending on the number of miles driven, but even if the vehicle remains parked for the year, it needs replacing. Drain the fluid and drop the oil pan,and remove and replace the internal oil filter. (Some Mitsubishi vehicles have external oil filters fitted making the job easier. Replace it and the drain plug and then refill. Check the level with the engine running at idle speed and after getting in with park brake engaged and pressing the foot brake and changing through each gear, pausing between each change (including reverse) and return to N. Check oil level on dip stick. Regards John

Here is the answer that you are looking for: Never.
The auto trans fluid in a Prius is what we call "World Spec", and never needs to be changed. Why? Because the Prius trans fluid is not used for hydraulic pressure or cooling the ATF fluid due to the lack of the aforementioned hydraulic pressure. All that the ATF does is perform a "lubrication" function. As long as there is no contamination of the fluid (such as being in a flood), do not bother with it.

Leave your Radiator Cap on for Preassure and look at your Radiator from Underneath. Should be at the Very bottom facing the Motor. Looks like a Wing Nut. Slowly Loosen this Wing Nut and your Coolant will Drain. The cap is left on to pull the Coolant out of the Block as you do this a Little bit into this you can Take the Radiator Cap loose and it will speed it up.

This dosen't help but.........
I have a similar problem. Every 4 weeks or so the car refuses to start. Again battery is not a problem but if we use cables to jump start from another car it starts fine.
Mitubishi cannot find the answer, only suggestion was to spend £150 on a new key , however the problem has now occured with both of the keys !
SOURCE: Hi, I need to know when I need to change the
The owners manual says nothing about ATF change intervals. The warranty manual says check it regularly. In the severe service section of the warranty manual it says for severe duty change it at 30,000 miles(48,000 kilometers). I would consider changing the ATF no later than 50,000 miles(80,000 kilometers). Mitsubishi cars use there own Diamond ATF SP III. If you do not change it by 60,000 to 70,000 miles (96,000 to 113,000 kilometers) the transmission may start to act funny when shifting. Regular changes will keep you from experiencing this problem. Be sure to use genuine Mitsubishi Diamond ATF SP III or a synthetic equivalent.
