Hi, 1997 Jaguar xk8 convertible. Drivers seat electrics not functioning where is the relevant fuse?

Unfortunately for many of the Jaguar models there is only one fuse for all the functions of each seat. The fuse locations can be found in the electrical section of the owners manual or Roadside emergency service section of the Vehicle Care Manual. In a 2000 XK8 the fuse for the drivers seat is fuse #1 (20A) located in the drivers side fascia fusebox (at left end of instrument panel). Not sure if it was changed from 1997 but doubt it.

Had problem of seat fuse blowing on XJ8 every time the headrest adjustment was attempted (shorted motor). Very tiring to deal with but be aware if fuse continues to blow you might have a motor or wiring problem. Good luck.

I have a 2000 cl500 and the power went out on the drivers side all of a sudden, the driver and left passenger window, driver seat and mirror, heated seat etc. What component could of went out to cause this...

This is something I have experienced and may or may not be your problem. The wiring harness under the seat is cut and exposed from moving the seat back and forth. It is now hitting ground and blew the fuse. You have to find the bare wire and wrap it with electrical tape, then replace the blown fuse. Most of the time, I had to remove the seat to find it. If you change the fuse without wrapping the wire, the first time you move the seat, the fuse will blow.

Heated seats

fuse is the go to area for electrical problems- if it keeps blowing fuse then look for problem in the seat cushion areas- Denny

The wiring harness to the mirrors is likely rubbed through, pull the door panel off on the driver side first and check the mirror harness.

Fuse #109 keep blowing/ driver seat not working please help

If the fuse keeps blowing, I assume it is because you keep replacing it. Those fuses have given up their lives to keep your truck from burning to the ground. Each time a fuse blows, the wires in the system get heated up and weakened. If you keep replacing the fuse, the insulation will eventually burn off of the wires and light the entire truck up. There is a shorted component or wire on one of the circuits that are protected by that fuse. Replacing the fuse without locating and repairing the reason that it blew, will only result in another fuse having to give up its life to keep your truck from roasting and all the other fuses will have died in vain.
The circuits to that fuse will need to be traced, using the wiring diagrams for your vehicle and the proper equipment necessary for performing tests on your electrical system. Nobody online can tell you what the actual cause of the problem is (other than tell you there is a short) without performing the necessary tests on the vehicle itself.

My "ABS" light stays on and the fuse for my electric seats keeps blowing out. I'm wondering if the ABS fuse should be changed. If it also blows out then could there be a problem with the electrical system...

ABS-is the braking system
Seats-a separate issue

I can not answer any of your questions
You need to go to a repair shop, and they will work one problem at a time.
Forget all this fuse stuff, everyone is talking about. Fuse don't go bad or fix things
Yours blew out,so there is no need to replace them. The systems they protect have problems, and the fuses are doing what they are there for

No pwr going to drivers seat 2003 A4. Did not see a fuse for it in the dash fuse cluster. Where is the secret fuse for it?

electric motors arc so much fuse are not used for they will blow everytime when the seat is used. A relay and a circuit breaker are inline with the seat circuit instead

My tail light quit working and the fuses keep blowing

check the wiring behind the drivers seat, there should be a multi-plug. from there the wire's go to the tailgate. check the wiring.
If the fuse keep's blowing the live wire is touching the body.

Electric seats won't move - Silverado 1500

depending on what year truck it is, there is a 40-60amp maxi fuse in the underhood fuse block that can also blow, the harnesses get stuck on the backside of the seat tracks and blow the underhood fuses.
