Hi,
1. Is your oil level ok?
2. Is the noise coming from the top of the engine area? If it is, you may have excessive clearance on a valve lifter. If this is the case, you could have a hydraulic lifter stuck.
Hope this helps... Good luck!
oil pump maybe tired or bearings worn out, try more heavy grade oil, if that helps sounds like bearings, and maybe an overhaul is needed, keep oil changed reg and just drive it
WHen a belt gets old it gets dry and cracks start to appear , the non-ribbed side of the belt may get dry & glazed also make noise . common problema are also tensioners that make the belt get out of line with the rest of the pulleys , look carefully because just a little miss-alignment can cause a belt to slip on the smooth side of pulleys and make noise . Misting water onto the belt may also help you determine what is making noise.
