All you should have to do is drain the oil and take out the bolts, i think there is like 16 bolts. there may be a cross member bar going across the oil pan, if there is then i would suggest taking in to a mechanic, because the engine may be mounted to it and it has to be removed to get it out

Ok I have a 1995 ford aspire im trying to figure out how to replace the oil pump

Disconnect the motor mounts and jack the engine to remove the oil pan. Remove the oil pan, replace the oil pump you'll find at the end of a pick up tube, replace the pump and put the pick up tube back on the new pump making sure it's in the same low position it was when removed, replace the oil pan gasket and put the oil pan back on, lower the engine and put the motor mount bolts back in. Put in the proper amount of oil and go.

I need to put a new oil pump on my 1997 e-150 ford van 4.6 automatic trans, do i have to pull motor mounts and jack motor or is there a easier way?

on a van yes!!! you may also have to remove the intake and assorted hardware, even then you may have to reach between the oil pan and the engine to remove the oil pump just to get the pan out

How do i change oil pan gasket on 1988 e-350

You should be able to drop the pan by removing the bolts. On some vehicles it is necessary to jack the engine up after removing the bolts from the engine mounts. If this is necessary then once you have your engine up high enough (usually 3 to 4 inches) put small blocks of wood where the mount would go to support the engine while you remove the oil pan. Also you can work the oil pan gasket around the oil pickup tube with the pan down with out having to totally remove the pan from underneathe the truck. If you do this just make sure the gasket is not twisted before reinstalling the pan onto the engine.

Trying to drop the oil pan out of my 1994 Ford F-150 (4.9L) to replace the gasket. Ive taken out the motor mounts and jacked the engine almost high enough to get the oil pan out and I am wondering if i...

done this on several i-6 f-150s. slide back or remove transmission, remove motor mount bolts from frame(not motor), jack motor up as far as possible without damaging egr valve or wiper motor when they hit, shim under motor mounts so that when you drop the jack the motor does not come back down any(the motor is well balanced on the mounts, it will not fall out of the truck like a v8 will), then remove the oil pan. you May have to remove the pickup tube(usually not), and you May have to rotate the crankshaft so that the lobes clear the oil pan. this is a common problem with these trucks due to the size of the oil pan(Huge), and the minimum pan to crossmember clearance
