Make sure you turn all accessories off maybe even put a charger on before you do this. After turning the ignition switch to the start position release it to the run position for approximately ten minutes. The security light should go out. Turn ignition switch to the off position for 10 seconds. Then restart. It may take up to three of these procedures to relearn but in your case it usually works on the first try.

SOURCE: 84 corvette wont start without battery boost....

It might be the starter, if it gets too much use the armature might be too weak and need extra Amps to get it to work right.

SOURCE: need to change the battery

Really, any proper size battery is okay to use.
You will not void anything and it will function properly.
So, shop local and get what they have.
Don't scrimp on quality though.
But any new battery will be better than what yo have.
Batteries typically need replacing every 5 years.

2004 Chevy Corvette security light stays on. How to reset please.

Question edited for clarity, presumably you mean Corvette rather than 'corvet'.
I don't know any motorcycle called a 'corvet', so I moved category.
All question need FULL 'year make mode' in that order and spelled and capitalized correctly. Then you have 10,000 categories to choose from.

My 2000 corvette won't crank up---no lights will come on-----nothing works in dash, not even the radio

I would take the battery cables loose and actually verify battery is not leaking. If "security" is causing no start then you can tell by watching the security lamp on dash. It should be on solid when key is turned to run if it is part of your concern. also sounds like you could have a body control module problem it controls the interior lamps which may explain clicking you heard and also controls the security.

Is there a reset after I change the Battery on my 98 Corvette

Hello,
There is no reset button for your Corvette. You may have an issue with the security system. Check if the Security light is on or flashing while trying to start the car.
I hope this helps.

Thank You,

94 vette won't start,bat good,have org. key,fuses ok,high beam light on lights off,lcd cluster won't light up?

Disconect the battery and ECM for FOUR DAYS then reconect the ECM and BATTERY. Let it sit for another four days without turning anything on. It should start but will run rough for about 200 miles as the ECM relearns the system. I had the same issue and that is what fixed it.
