Question about 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Fuel injector fuse blows quite often, and the jeep just quits. I replace it and it starts right up again. This has happened about 10 times in the last month.

Problem might require a bit of electrical troubleshooting but start by checking all injector wiring to make certain one is not shorting out due to rubbing, being pinched or melted insulation from hi-temps. Wiggle them around while engine running to see if engine stalls (careful here - don't get caught in fan!).

I have a 1994 bonneville 3.8-i replaced my fuel pump recently, i keep having my fuel injector fuse blow, i took the injectors off and tested and cleaned them,the car seems to run real good


You have a short in the wiring to the fuel pump.. Go back and check all the wiring you touched. you may have not routed the wires at the tank correctly and they are shorted (crushed).. SINCE IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES.. I WOULD put in a new fuse turn on the key start the engine and look at the wires near the fuel pump and move them to see if you can create the short and find it. you will know when you find it because the engine will stop running as the fues blows. Don't take anything else apart till you cure the first problem. The very worst thing it can be is a short inside the tank at the pump. Post and let us know what you find.

1989 jeep cherokee wont fire has spark and fuel everything is hooked up right i dont no what to do anymore help me plz


If you have compression, spark at the right time, and fuel spray at the injectors, it should start.
The coil could be weak, the fuel pressure could be low, among other things.
Did it quit running, or just not start one day ? Have you checked the computer for trouble codes ?

My 2006 jeep cherokee headlights keyless entry and radio quit when i replace the number 10 fuses red ones they blow again whats wrong


Anytime you have a problem like this you have a short to ground. when a circuit is directly shorted to ground it has zero resistance causing the amperage to max out and the fuse blows to protect the circuit. You need to trace the circuit and look for opens in the insulation and frayed wires.

Third time in the shop. While driving it would just quit. Took awhile to start again. Maybe ok for 5 days. Then same thing. Mechanics can not do the testing because it does stall for them, but starts right...

I understand your frustration.
If something like this happens it must be some simple problem.
Check all the basics - relays,fuses,fuel filter, spark plugs, battery contacts for dirt interfering good connection.
Check the air filter and air ducts for obstructions.

Car starts then quits. have to wait about 20 mintues


I have the same problem with my bimmer.To find out if the fuel pump problem take fuel pump out and get something kinda nock on the pump put it back in and start the car. It will run but not 1 or 2 days it will die again. You know that mean.Replace the pump.

check the fuel system..... pump output, then test the CFI injector .... when it quits look into the CFI unit and have someone crank-it and watch for injector spray....common for injectors to go bad....hope this helps...GL

there's a grounded wiring on it that's why it keep on blowing your fuse check the wiring.

Try the fuel injection relay they are located under the hood. They blow out every few years on my Volvo. The car starts to quit all of the sudden. It is either red or green colored. It is located in the fuse box under the hood.
