My car didn't take the R-134a

If your car ac is not taking in refrigerant, it could be caused by several things.
If you have recently done work on the system and you are going to fill the system the first time, you will need to pull a very deep vacuum before trying to charge in refrigerant. If you have already properly evacuated the system and having problems getting the correct charge adjusted, you may be having problem with pressure equilizing between the refrigerant source and your ac system. To get the refrigerant going again, you need to connect the charging hose on the low pressure side of the ac system and turn the fan and ac on cool. The pressure in the ac system on the low pressure side will get lower than the pressure in the refrigerant container and flow will start. When charging initially, charge liquid on the high pressure side and with the ac system running, charge gas on the low pressure side. To charge liquid, invert most container so spout is down, to charge gas, keep container right side up. Charging by gas help you to not over charge your system. Beware on most vehicle ac systems the suction and discharge connections are two different sizes and require the proper adapter. If you still having problems creating a pressure difference to move refrigerant, you can try immersing the refrigerant container in warm water or applying warm air to the exterior of the container.
Hope this helps.

Where is the low side A/C port on a 2004 Chrysler Concorde

Should be two ports with black caps on the ac lines or the compressor.
One is bigger than the other to help prevent you from connecting to the wrong side of the compressor.

What is the correct pressure for freon in AC unit and what is the color of the cap where you add the freon?????

The charging port cap is usually blue, The charging fixture hose will not clip onto the wrong port, so you really can't mess that up. the pressure of a system as measured on the low side hose should be about 28-32 PSI with the system stabilized and engine at operating temperature.

How do you add the 134a to a 1997 chevrolet lumina?

Go to wal mart $6.00 a 12 oz can,may need 2 cans. Car owners manual will tell capacity in oz of AC system never charge over that amount into your system, also PSI and ounces are not the same thing

Go to auto parts store buy R-134a charging hose kit with a gage built in.$ 10.00

Turn engine OFF Under the engine hood, is a large aluminum cannister usually on passengers side ,on it or on a hose coming out of it will be a black plastic cap, with a connect fitting under, remove cap, pull and hold back the locking ring on the charging connector and push on fitting. look at gage it will show how much freon pressure is in system, with engine and ac off a higher pressure value will be on gage Start engine and turn ac on cooldest and fan high. The pressure will drop. if the pressure drops below about 22 PSI the ac compressor will stop automatic by the low pressure cut out switch.then the pressure will build above 25 and the compressor will engage again, this is short cycling(no/off) on the low pressure sensor and is a good indicator of a low charge of refigerant(R-134a). Charge according to instructions on kit. When the pressure stays above 28 and the compressor stops cycling off your good DO NOT over charge or you can cause compressor slugging. Liquid into compressor($1200.00 for new compressor)
SAFETY!!!!
R-134a can cause blindness. wear goggles and gloves

The "O" ring seals in the ac system dry out when the ac is not in use for over a month and leak the refigerant out again, So Use your defrost setting in the winter because it runs the ac compressor for dehumidifying, but only after the engine has warmed up a little, or with no warmth from engine the defrost will blow freezing air.

Recharge a/c on my 2004 3.8 L Gran Prix

Follow the ac lines from the ac compressor toward the firewall ,to the inside of the car, look at the large ac line,it will have the ac low side service port on it,it will be the only one you can hook up to with the one hose charge set up you have,it will not hook up to the wrong one so you can mess up,if there is anything else you need to know please let me know thank you ,and please rate.

Where is the cap to recharge the a/c in a 1997 Chevy Malibu?

It is either under the filter box, where the air cleaner goes,or next to the firewall next to the passengers side fender, look at the ac lines coming from the ac compressor, and follow them, look at the large ac line coming from the ac compressor,to the firewall,it will be on that line, and your single charge hose, will only fit the low side service port,so you can not hook up to the wrong one,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.
