How do I replace a rear motor mount on 1997 Chrysler Cirrus?

Put a jack under the back of the frame and remove the rear frame bolts. Lower the jack enough to remove the mount. Don't go down to much as the steering linkage could come apart. This would be another problem you don't need.

How do I get a motor mount bushing to fit in motor mount

If you are sure the mount is not reversed, the difference could be in how the part was molded. As in being reversed, there may be a left or right side mount and you have the wrong side.

Your block casting has an angle, and the inner side of the mount goes to the engine and the outer side goes to the frame. One side may be higher than the other and you may have the mount bolted to the high side so it pushes 1/8 inch deeper than it should. Now if this is a rear wheel drive, sometimes you can tear the transmission mounts if you do not loosen the transmission frame mounts when you unseat the motor mounts. And actually the trans mounts are holding you back from aligning the motor.

Please rate my info.

Change motor mount on a 04 mazda 6

FIRST YOU'LL NEED TO SUPPRT THE MOTOR WITH A JACK! UNBOLT THE MOUNT FROM MOTOR, JACK THE MOTOR UP TO CLEAR MOTOR MOUNT, AND UNBOLT IT FROM THE FRAME! REPLACE IT, BOLT THE MOUNT TO THE FRAME FIRST, THEN LOWER THE MOTOR BACK INTO THE MOUNT, AND REBOLT THE MOTOR!

How to put the 305 engine inside of the 1987 caprice

The 305 will fit right in there, if you already have a v-8 in the car, if the car is a 6 cylinder car you will need to change the exhaust, the radiator, and reposition the motor mounts on the frame. This sounds difficult, but since this car was built with a v8 in it you should be able to find all the parts you need in a salvage yard.

How to replace a front motor mount on a 1993 Mercury Sable 3.0 V6

To change the right front motor mount on a mercury sable. 1. you will need a jack and 22mm and a 5/8 socket.
2. you want to place the jack under the catalyst converter or somewhere on the motor that will lift the motor separatly from the crossbar that the front mount is attached to.
3. apply a little lift to the jack raising the car(3 or 4 hydraulics jack lifts).
4. using the 22 mm socket wrench take the bottom nut off the mount which is located under the right side of the crossbar.
5. using the 5/8 socket remove the top bolt that attaches the mount to the motor.
6. raise the jack 2 or 3 more times( giving you more room to move the old mount out).
7 . remove the old mount paying close attention to the way it is positioned, being sure not to put the new mount in wrong.
8. apply the new mount.
9. apply the top bolt and tighten .
10. lower the jack until the mount is seated correctly onto crossbar.
11. apply bottom nut and tighten.
12. glad i could help!

POSSIBLE TO convert 1973 ford F100 390 to inline 6

No not much trouble. However it depends on what Transmission you are using. If A stick, then you will need to change bell housing and you will need to use flywheel fro either a 302 V-8 or another strait 6. 300 or 240 which ever you are using will also need the hard mounts from another truck. The mounts are diferent from one with a 6 to one with a V8. Also the radiator if I remimber correctly is diferent in the way the hoses hook up. There will be a little more money to do this change. But it is easy once you make the plan and see what needs to be done. I have gone from a 300 6 to a 302 V8 in a 78 F-150. It was quite easy and i did it in a day. Any more questions ask.
