When I added gas, it sounded like it was compressing as it accepted the gas. When I began, the gauge showed ample amount of gas with a slight need..

99 dodge ram started overheating all of a sudden a sputtering sound came from directly behind glovebox then the temp went back down what could this possibly be?

If the heater matrix is buried somewhere behind the glovebox, the noise could have been air or combustion gas being pumped through the matrix.

Cylinder head gaskets normally allow small amounts of combustion gas to escape and the cooling system is designed to allow it to rise rapidly above the coolant level, often with additional ports and vent hoses leading to the degassing tank.

If the degassing system becomes blocked due to the cooling system being dirty or corroded the gas bubbles can build up and displace coolant and disrupt the thermostat operation and eventually be forced into the heater matrix causing a vapour lock.

A failing head gasket will have a similar effect...

These things will need checking. Overheating is invariably caused by insufficient coolant circulation and/or insufficient cooling air flow through the radiator.

My air conditioner is not working on my 2005 Nissan quest se. what may be the problem? it was working fine yesterday. there is plenty of antifreeze

anti freeze has nothing to do with air conditioning
shaking at speed is , tires, wheel alignment, suspension parts or balance and again is not related to air conditioning
working one day and not the next suggest a leak in the ac system and now the low pressure switch is not allowing the compressor to work
So to cover your problems
take the car to an accredited auto ac specialist shop and have it checked for leaks and gas
then take it to an accredited suspension for a thorough check of the front end , then have a wheel alignment done

95 chevy baretta ran out of gas now wont restart with plenty of gaz

You need to check if the fuel pump (in the gas tank) is still turning on to put gas up to the engine. It's been known to happen that running out of gas can burn out the fuel pump. Manufacturers put the pump in the tank so the surrounding gas will keep the pump running cool.

A/C unit blowing hot air when selected to cool on

Your A/C unit is low on Freon, or you have a bad pressure switch. Turn on the Air Conditioner, with the engine running, & put it on Max. Open the hood, & see if the compressor is spinning. If it is not, then you need gas. You can buy refill kits at a local Walmart. If you have a leak, it may be a wasted $30. That is what I paid for a 22 oz. can of R-134A Freon. I had a dealer regas mine & put in a dye that they can find leaks with a black light. It may be cheaper in the long run. My drier, in front of the radiator has a leak. It will cost $460. to replace it.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition. Once you put the

make sure you have plenty of break fluid in the reservoir. take it to reputable garage and make sure the mechanic know how to bleed ABS correctly and see you may have air in the systems. Once the air is in the systems its very difficult to remove the air. if that don't work, check abs sensor and the unit it self may be faulty. if you have to replace it, check ebay or junkyard for a replacement.

This is a great site for aircon FAQ's:
http://www.id-usa.com/how_to.asp
It can show you how to check what gas you are using, how to check the system and how to top it up if neccessary, there is plenty of info and video if you need it.
I found it a great help when my wife had problems with the aircon in her Pontiac.

A/C not blowing cold air

Hi daveyrichard,
Just a guess....it sounds as if your leaking refridgerant gas from your AC unit. Maybe you didn;t need to change the compressor. the leakage could be on either the high pressure or low pressure side....Something that may help is to mix up some soapy water, use plenty soap, then sponge the mixture around all the joints that you can see....go as far as you can and as close to the fire wall between the cabin and the engine compartment....With the AC turned on, look out for bubbles....If you see them, thats where your leakage is.....Hope that this imfo helps you to solve your problem and keep your cool.
