1995 should have 134A. Look on the compressor and in the middle of it will be a sticker that says 134a or r12. If it is r12, you must retrofit it in order to charge it yourself.

It is 134 and here is how you do it. Unplug the wire going into the AC unit. Start your car with AC on. Make a jump for the connecter in the plug (can do this with 2 small screw drivers) Relieve the low side by opening the low side port with a small screw driver relieve it until it completely empty. Reconnect the plug and fill with 134 on the high side port with car running and AC running. Make sure you hold the can upside down as you want the refrigerant to go in as a liquid. This is the best way to do it...

2009 chevy AVEO 5 ac blows hot air

The guage needs to read between 35/40 psi.. If its much higher you may be overfull, this causes it to not cool.. Fix by letting some freon out, then top it back to needed pressure.. If pressure is correct, it would be a clog in the system.. Usually an orafice tube or accumulator..good luck!

How to recharge the ac on a 99 chevy blazer

Hi Kelea, I'm glad to help!
I see all the time people overcharging there A/C system because someone told them they need Freon, when in fact it turn out to be some other problem all together. But if your sure you need Freon then go to Autozone and buy a bottle of Freon the hose come on the bottle to hook up to the car. I'm sure if you buy the bottle from them they will help you fill the system. However if you live in the St Louis Mo area give me a call. 314-374-5218 Allen. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Kelea.

I just bought the chevy and the ac doesnt wrk. it probably needs freon 45000 mi. how much freon should i charge? whats the best solution

Hello,
In 1994 most U.S vehicles moved to R-134a a/c system, in 1995 all U.S vehicles had this system.
You can buy the freon at any auto parts store, the large can is around $15.00.
The R-134a stsem allows anyone to recharge their own system.

I am recharging the ac system in my '04 Blazer and need to know how to add oil to the compressor.

If your just going to recharge it and nothing was replace, no need to add oil, freon will have some oil, if you replaced the a/c compr. before installing the hoses to compr. add oil into compr.

What do I need to replace to convert my ac to r134a on a 88 chevy s-10 blazer

need to have the a/c system evacuated and flushed out with the appropriate cleaner.Replace the orifice tube and drier, and purchase a retrofit kit at any parts house. Recharge system with appropriate amount of oil charge and freon. It will take less R134a than it did R12.

How to fill the air conditioner system with freon Corsica 1995

RECHARGING AC SYSTEM

1.Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
2.Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
3.Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
4.Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
5.Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
6.You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
7.Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
8.If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective
Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.

How do i charge my air conditioning in my 1999 trail blazer

You do not wan to charge an A/C. By law you must first have the AC system checked for leaks before adding freon. If freon is released into the air you can be ticketed for up to $10,000 Once you have your A/C checked for leaks than repost the question and I will gladly assist you.

AC is not working

Sounds like the A/C system just needs to be recharged. When was the last time you had this done? Just take it in to your mechanic and he can do it for you and if that's not it for some reason, then he will be able to find the problem but most likely you need more freon added.
