start off with the cheap possibilities and make your way threw. I'd start off with replacing Air Charge temperature sensor, make sure your AC Hose isnt leaking anywhere, if those dont solve it then replace ur AC clutch, last chance would be replacing AC compressor. sometimes the compressor will malfunction randomly. or the AC clutch might malfunction aswell. covering these steps somewhere along the line you will have working AC again! good luck
you have moisture in the system this causes your expancion valve to freeze up an stop working, thats why it works for sort time and when it de-freezes stars working again. you need to do a EVAC & RECHARGE with a good AC service equipment, specially attention to pull vacumm por at least 20minutes so you get all moisture out of the system.
Good luck
Control dampner switch okay from looking at the fron of the car on the passenger side youll see a group of vacuum hose plastic connecting to a junction make sure none of the are broken Two of the control the vent control and inside tempurature. Once it disconnect you no longer have mixture control. Do you remember when it was working fine and you turn off the car and you heard that little hissing noise? Well that line is now disconnected
CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.IT SHOULD BE 53 - 63 PSI YOU COULD HAVE A BAD FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR OR BAD MAP SENSOR.AC CLUTCH NOT WORKING.CHECK FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL IS GOOD YOU HAVE LOW REFRIGERANT HAVE IT CHECKED.IF ALL IS GOOD AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH OPEN OR COMPRESSOR FAULTY.THE INTERIOR TEMP GAUGE NOT WORKING COULD BE LOOSE WIRE OR ENGINE HAS A BAD OPEN COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.
In the box that is mounted evaporator and heater is a gate that operates with vacuum and the temperature selector is opened and closed to pass the airepor the evaporator or the heater
this is normal, water is the condensation leaking out,but if leaking inside the van then the drain is pluged up, the drain is on the pass/side outside the van on the firewall, blow air into drain or stick a coat hanger in to hole until water leaks out,
To fix the AC unit which blows hot air all the time. Seems like you have a small leak in the system or the AC compressor has gone out. Suggest you try recharging the unit. Make sure you have the correct R-22 or 134A freeon. If this work for a few days then have the leak fixed, if this doesn't work replace the compressor. Check Ebay for the compressor i obtained one for $100.00. Cost $450 at Auto Zone.
