The a/c goes in and out. When it is on, the air

The a/c goes in and out. When it is on, the air is cold. Randomly the little lights on the control buttons will go out. The blower keeps running, but the air gets hot. Sometimes it seems like a bump in the road will make it go in and out. I was thinking maybe a lose wire. Any ideas?

I would bet on it being the sensor. The sensor sends the signal to the computer and from there to the gauge and light.

89 cutlass cierra crank but wont start when wet out unless gas pedal is pushed

This should be a drive by wire vehicle meaning it has a cable for the throttle body. First thing would be to see if any error codes can be pulled up (most parts stores will do that for free.) Drive by wire versus the late model that use electronic control for the idle have a IAC or idle air control which when first started controls the idle air intake--all air is run by it to idle the vehicle when cold--

Usual symptoms are rather high idle when cold engine or even idle and RPM jumping up and down and stalling when cold.

Another way if idle does drop when cold is tapping the gas--engine will still run until hot. Means not usually a fuel pump issue.

You could also have if the vehicle is fuel injected a dirty Mass air flow sensor, a throttle position sensor, etc.

These can be if the vehicle has them cleaned using a special zero residue spray cleaner.

First have it scanned to see what if any errors it shows--the computer.

I had this same problem. I removed the aircon controller from the dash and found two dry solder joints on the back of the main circuit board. I resoldered these and it fixed the problem.

I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville Concorse. The climate controls are all on the dash below the radio. The drivers side works perfectly (both hot and cold), but the passenger side works intermittently. If I...

Could be that the hvac control module has an intermittent problem or the air mix door control for the passenger side is sticking. Check for error codes (DTCs) using a code scanner, but may not show an intermittent mechanical issue. If you can get at the air mix control on the hvac box under the dash on the passenger side, you may be able to check its operation.

I have a 2002 ford explore that will not switch from cold to hot

The issue is with the blend motor under the dash that controls the door too switch from hot to cold, if you look under the dash on the passenger side on the heater box you will see a little black box bolted on it with wires coming out of it, there is probably more than one. One controls where the air goes and one controls from hot to cold.

Level Ride light comes on randomly what is it for? Should I worry

It shows that the rear air ride air pump is on. If you change the load weight in the car it pumps up to help the ride. Its controled by a computer so some times it takes little while to figure the needed pressure for the car. If you dont change the load and it comes on often it probably has a small leak.
I hope this helps you.
