On most any Ford vehicle, the orifice tube is hidden directly in the pressure line just before it goes into the evaporator core (the little radiator looking device hidden underneath your dash). There should be a quick disconnect where the lines go together by the accumulator. The orifice tube will be wedged in the aluminum line. If you look closely, you will actually be able to see an indentation in the aluminum line that prevents the orifice tube from slipping too far into the aluminum line. The orifice tube on a Ford almost ALWAYS requires the use of an orifice tube removal tool. Hope this helps.

Hello lindabg68: My name is Roger and I can answer your question for you. First make sure the system has no pressure. Locate the high side refrigerant line that comes up from the bottom of the condenser. Not the top line. Remove the bolt holding the line together. You should see the orifice tube in the long side of this tube. Please rate the quality of your answer. This is how we know you received the correct information. Should you need more help please just ask. Thank You for using FixYa. Roger

I believe the orifice tube on this model requires the a/c pipe to be cut to install a new tube. You need to discharge the system, replace the tube, then evacuate miosture with a vacuum pump, then recharge with R134A refirgerant. Not a job for a non technical person.
The oriifce is in the line just before the evaporator that is in your car a/c heater case. It is where the liquid refrigerant turns into a vapor as it comes out of the orifice and then it absorbs heat from the air going into you car, thus blowing cold air. Moisutre in the warm air condenses and as he iar gets cold and it drains out of your evaporator and out the drain & onto the ground

Check the lines coming out of the condenser . One of them has a crimped spot, that is where the orifice is located. Good luck.

There is one orifice tube for the font air. It is located in the a/c line coming from the condenser to the evap. core. the rear a/c has and expansion valve attached to the rear evap. core. Hope this helps.

Usually in the high pressure line close to where it goes into the firewall, Follow that line from the firewall down to where you should find a threaded, or springloaded fitting. When you separate that fittting you should find it inside the line.
