If you bent it, change it. If the end links or bushings are bad change them.

Keep a large prybar nearby, install the new links paying VERY close attention to the arrangement, Lower the sway bar with the prybar until you can get the locking fastener a few threads on and repeat for other side. P.S. to remove the old links a sawzall is VERY handy.

The vehicle sways on turns. Cause may be either stabilizer bars or struts.

if it sways to much on turns its your stabilizer bar. reduces the amount of body roll, or lean, that a vehicle experiences during cornering. some cars have a sway bar in back, as well as the front. and some cars have just a front sway bar. There can also be an audible "clunk" or "click" as you go over bumps, if it is broken. good-day !

Is it possible to buy the bolt and mechanism for the stablizer bar? CAn i find a schematic online for the front end?

From your description it sounds like your looking for a stabilizer link. It connects the stabilizer bar to the lower control arm and looks like a long bolt with a few washers and bushings. The links are available from parts stores and usually run around $20 a side. The parts stores may list it as a "sway bar repair kit".
