I removed the timing belt on my 1997 volkswagon jetta 2.0 and accidentally rotated the pullys now i need to re time it. how is this done?

Timing the belts in your car is done with a special tool that uses light to measure the current belt timing. Probably need to take it into a shop, or someone that knows what they are doing since the timing is really a minute process and would require some precision.
