How do I remove a steering wheel off my 1964 Ford Thunderbird

Remove the center horn pad assembly and remove nut holding steering wheel to column. You need a steering wheel puller to remove it from the tapered shaft once the nut is loose. You can rock the steering wheel and pull if you don't have a puller but when it lets go watch for a broken nose.

Need to remove the rear axles on a 1964 ford ranchero 8 inch rear end

Jack and suppoet with stands, put vehicle in neutral, ensure emergency brake is off. remove rear wheels, remove drums, you will see a hole in the axle end to fit a socket to undo 4 nuts, if you don't have a slide hammer, put wheel on without drum and get underneath and kick wheel. U must make sure the car will not fall, better safe than sorry. {you shouldn't have to remove brakes} good luck

Taking lawn mower off john deere 455 tractor

Undo the lever in the front by pulling it out and then rolling it downward to release the front of the deck [lower it to the ground before you start].Once that bracket is off you need to remove the drive shaft by pulling back on the lock collar on the shaft and then pull off the pto shaft. Now pick up the rear of the deck slightly and pull out the c hangers in the rearof the deck just ahead of the back wheels.Jack up the left rear end to make it easier to pull the deck out from under the tractor.

Having brake lock problems with my 1964 GTO. Replaced wheel cylinders, emergency brake cables and still experiencing rear brake lock after driving for awhile. Any ideas?

check to make sure you have the primary and secondary brake shoes on correctly, the longer shoe attaches to the rear side of the backing plate...also check to see if you have your starwheel adjuster on correctly...
