Depends,..

What you're feeling is the vehicle is pulling to one side and the rocking is you steering it back and the chassis has to shift back via symmetry. Which to assist from just symptoms and unable to visually hands on inspect the vehicle myself on location.

First note what side the car is pulling to and be mindful to check that side first. Also turn off the radio and check for sounds of any knocking or scrubbing { if so get to a lift quick to avert an accident or further damage }

If there's no sounds of knocking or scrubbing inspect the rim for any scent of burning from friction wear or loose lug nuts. Which if either are bent { if you've had a slow leak issue that you weren't associating with it a minor bent rim could be the simple problem }

Or depending on the intensity of the shaking it could even be something as minor as a belt in a tire having broken.

Outside of that be aware that the cause could be anything from a brake caliper grabbing or bad rotor {pull the tires and inspect }

If it's not anything that you can see from these first measures of visual inspecting. From there it could be one or both tire rods being badly worn. Or the bears in a ball joint is about to totally go, one of the stabilizers could be loose or damaged from rust or pothole impact,.. inspect the undercarriage.

Jacking the car up is ok, pulling up on ramps can help but putting it up on the lift would be absolute best. Which along with best view and access it also allows both / all the tires be suspended without bearing weight to show any signs of sway, buckling or looseness.

This could be an old or worn sway bar.
Check to see what condition they are in.
And while you're under there......
Check for signs of things that don't belong.
Also it wouldn't hurt to inspect the whole underneath, look for sign of fresh leakage etc.
Don't forget to rate:)

Speedometer speed sensor location different from 1995 & 1996 modules

Just to warn you if you live in a state (like PA) that has inspections, if you go to a parts store to get your codes erased, the codes still show in the computer and you wont pass inspection. You have to take it to the dealer and spend $$$ to have it erased from the cpu. This is for 96 and newer volvos. This is why I stick to rwd redblock bricks

How do i replace air flow meter on 1992 volvo 240 wagon. It stalls at low speed, intermittently.

It is a can shaped air flow sensro, in the plastic intake hose. To replace it all you have to do is pull the electrical connector, unscrew the clamps on the line on both sides, and switch out the sensor. Make sure you have the correct sensor, there were 3 different types used.

Rocks sideways when driving, feel like you are on a boat

Have the shocks/struts ever been replaced? The rocking is normally caused by worn out shocks and/or sway bar bushings. When the shocks go, you normally will experience a rollercoaster type up and down motion when you hit bumps (the springs are bouncing and the shocks are not dampening/rebounding properly). If you do not have this up and down rocking, but just sideways, check your front and rear sway bar bushings for wear or damage to where they connect to the frame. If the mount has broken or come loose, it will not prevent the sideways sway. You should also see a sideways lean going around corners.

It's probably not that the wheels are moving at a different speed. It sounds like a simple alignment issue to me. Installing a bearing could have thrown it off. You should just have a simple alignment job done.

That's a nice low profile tire. You will have to have 18 inch wheels and have them installed and balanced at a tire shop.

But make sure you stay away from the curbs with those low pro tires.
