There is not a fuel pump access panel. You have to drop the tank to get to the top of it where the pump is located.

Fuel not get into engine

Do you have any pressure? First thing to do is check fuse for the pump. Make sure you're getting power and ground to the pump.

Need steering pump hosed replaced 1998 chevy malibu 3100 engine

may want to remove the ignition coilpack for more access to the nut on the rack, thats the hardest part of the job, then remove the hose retainig clip on back of the alternater and remove the steering pump bolts thru the pulley to lift it up so youll have clearance, but the fuel injection check port usually gets in the way so try carefully prying

the fuel pump is located in the gas tank.Remove the rear seat and the access panel in the body to gain access to it

Yes you will need to remove the pump first to gain access to the bolt holding it in and be able to pull the sensor out of the hole.

leave the key in the on position until the theft system light goes off about ten to fifteen minutes the turn the key off and back on again and try starting it. this should work. it is a problem with the passlock II system that shuts down the fuel pump

1998 Chevy Malibu Fuse panel diagram

There is a interior fuse block (or fuse panel) on both sides of this vehicle AND one in the engine compartment.

I believe the fuse you're looking for is in the panel on the RIGHT side of the vehicle, marked " F - INT. LPS"

To gain access to this panel, simply remove the fuse panel door on the end of the dash.
