Headlights do not always work

When i turn the headlights on they do not always go on, i have to turn them of and on sometimes for about 10 min before they finally go on, also when i turn the high beams on the lights will at times just shut off. I was told it may be circuit, but how can i tell for sure and where it would be.

I could be in the headlight switch inside the van itself. I have had two other cars I have owned do this. I had to replace the switch you push or pukll out with your fingers.

Your headlight switch has overheated and failed. It's common. The switch is $158 new and replacement requires airbag and steering wheel removal.
