The auto shut down relay is located in the fuse box that is located under the hood of the Durango. The auto shut down relay should be marked for location on the underside of the lid of the fuse box.

It is your computer. I had this recently as well. No Bus means no connection to the on board computer. There is a company in Florida that repairs these computers, so don't get suckered in by the dealership for 750-1000.

SOURCE: 1999 dodge durango heater core

It's a big job. Drain the coolant down, recover the freon in the ac system and disconnect the lines and heater hoses. Lower the steering column, remove the instrument panel assembly, remove the heater housing. Split the case halves on the housing and there you are. Usually around 500 to 700 dollars at a dealership.

SOURCE: 1999 Dodge Durango driver side window does not roll up nor down.

Remove the door panel and find the window motor Unplug it and using a separate car battery run cables directly to the window motor When you switch the polarity the motor will either bring the window up or down or if noting happened change the window motor and window regulator assembly.

Where is the auto shutdown realy on a 1999 dodge durango

It's in the Power Distribution Box under the hood. May also be called the Fuse/relay Block. The cover over the box should show the location of the automatic shut down relay. Turning the key to on causes the computer to activate the relay, sending power to the ignition coils and the fuel injectors.

There are 2 relays that control your fuel pump. 1 is a fuel pump relay and the other is a Auto shut down relay or ASD relay.

Turns over but won't start no codes.

If it just quit out of the blue then it could be a bad crank sensor. Or even a bad ASD relay "Auto Shut Down". A bad fuel pump, or a faulty coil.

DODGE DURANGO TROUBLE SHOOTING

The power to the ignition coil comes from the Auto shut down relay. It also runs the fuel pump relay. When you turn the key on it will read 12 volts, but only for about 5 seconds. The auto shut down relay is controlled by the ecm. Check the power on the coil while cranking the engine. When cranking the ecm will lock on the ASD relay.
