A few things to check and try to help determine if its bearing . the good ole annoying " growl" that gets progressively worse as speed increases. does the noise change when making turns... try swerving the blazer side to side. if it changes...u have a bad hub assembly . as a rule a drive axle wont do more then vibrate or click on a turn, especially that year with the constant velocity joints in the front. hope this helped you out

if this is a 4wd drive model , try having someone listen to front wheel hubs when you back up , id be conserned that the front wheel hubs seals have gone bad and there is now dirt inside bearings and has damaged them , also ive seen clicking caused by locking hubs not fully disengauged by dirt stuck inside

2002 Dodge Durango SXT 4.7L RWD shaking (serious vibration) badly between 70 to 80 mph

If it were me I would take out the drive shaft and check the play in the universal joints (I know you said they were replaced). Unlike ball joints they should exhibit good freedom of movement and flop from one position to the next as the shaft is rotated in the hand. Check that the bearing cup retaining clips are present on all sides. If there is any tightness in a bearing it is possible that either one of the cups has been pressed (hammered?) in too far or that a needle bearing was dropped from the outer race into the cup during assembly. Also check that the cup holders (arms) are not bent, sometimes if care is not taken to support the back of the 'arms' when installing the bearing cups the 'arms' will bend.

I have bad roaring in front left side while driving,

Sounds like a wheel bearing or a bad CV shaft or u joint in the front end drive shafts, if it is 4 wheel drive. it also could be a break pad rubbing cause the caliper is stuck pressed in.

When you drive down the road, and you get over 25 mph theres a wired noise sounds like grouwling

This is one or both of your front wheel bearings, jack the front of the truck up and spin the wheels by hand feel or listen for any noise or roughness, also grab two side of the tire tip and bottom and pull in out, if there is play then your bearing is bad, another possibility is a bad tire but wheel bearings are all to common on these trucks please rate

I have a 2002 ford explorer. It has a humming sound when I drive it like it has oversize off road tires on it but it doesnt. It has BF Goodrich rugged trail t/a tires with 13000 miles on them. This is ...

Would sooner think wheel bearing, should be able to hear the noise or feel play in the bearing if jacked up. Abs light on? often a bad bearing will get metal in the sensor and turn on the ABS light also.

The car makes a howling noise while driving it

well did the noise start after the tires were rotated?could be choppy tires,,,if not ,i strongly think it sounds like a bad wheel bearing,,,,if you drive and while its making the noise turn left and right quick and see if the noise gets louder and which way turning makes it louder,,if you turn leftand it gets louder its usually the right wheels bearing as you are putting load on it, if it makes the noise louder while turning right its the left wheel bearing,,,got it
