I have a 2001 malibu and the parking lights don't work. The dash lights up and the brake, hazard, and turn signals still work. Every time we try to turn the lights on the fuse blows and the relay is fine....

sounds like you have a short in the wiring somewhere. try checking all the wiring between the lights and the fuse box and between the fuse box and the switch looking for bare wires or loose ground connections. also check the bulbs themselves.

Thanks, but how can you do this yourself or do you have to take it to a garage?

After being in this business over 40 years, it is always best to let someone who knows how to do repairs do it. I made tons of money off customers that tried to repair it themselves. Sometimes replacing the new part they tried to install. Buying the same part twice sux!

I have a 78 mgb the head lights, turn signals, gas gage, and rpm gage, don't work. We have checked wiring and fuses but can't find anything. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Ignition switch? Battery?: Voltage correct? Battery size and type correct? (Other owners\' restore screw-ups? Kids?) Fuses correct amperage?: Power surge? Items themselves ruined/burned out? Stripped or exposed wiring--intermittent? Water vs. electrical. Dirt/contamination? Fuse box and connectors? Horn work? Starts, of course? Alternator? Alternator cables? Belt? (Hummm: Alternator--often a fine bet for small car trouble--big car, truck, or powerful car alternators, V8 or V6/6 cyl. always prove better. Small car/cheap car alternator? Old MG alternator--time to replace/re-coil? Dirty alternator? Your alternator proves worthy of crucifixion?!) Keep pluggin\'--it\'s gotta be something!: An interesting exercise in logic for Mr. Spock?!

I have a 22month old Ford ranger sport 4x4 with 27,500 kms. The clutch packed up and would not dissengage. The dealer stripped it down and found the clutch plate worn on both sides and the pressure plate...

Explain to Ford that you believe it was their fault. Stay persistant. They are just doing their job, too, by trying to save themselves some money. Don't give up. The only drawback is, that it will be hard to prove.

It should be hit the unlock button 3 times, open and close the door 3 times, the locks will operate themselves twice. Hit the unlock button on the remote and it should program. you should try a remote from the dealer not from ebay.
