That would appear to be the problem , these seals are usually classed as weather strips , there main function is to stop water ingress to the door interior but usualy do clear window as you say , your choices are get new strips fitted and hope they are of the type that should clear window , perhaps contact a suzuki dealer and ask them if this is the case as may not be good luck

Testimonial: "i did take car for a service to Suzuki, that's why i posted here as they were unable to tell me the problem ! they offered to replace the strips at my cost, despite car just 6 weeks old , but said cars with convex windows some times the rain never clears, and they would not guarantee new strips would do the trick ? just did not sound right, i phoned Suzuki , they said hold wind out with hand when winding it to clear rain, try another dealer as they were not sure, seems pretty poor show don't you think ?"

if they suggest putting pressure against the window as winding down it would suggest to me that the weather strips are to rigid and not flexing as with other makes , will be a design/cost issue sorry but thats what happens sometimes ,what can you do !

so are we saing then , that its a plastics, aka synthetic rubber, batch, where they got the mix to hard, not enough plastisizer, so they dont clear rain away, and that a new mix, aka batch maybe ok ?

Thats just great, if this is case , wont be buying a suzuki again !, i knew i should have got a micra :-(

i would think the way to tell if there is a batch quality problem is to compare with another vehicle the same as yours ,even if its just hosed over with water and try windows and see if the wether strips clear on the other vehicle, i think though it is proberly across the range and is the design that suzuki have gone with ,a micrs would have been a good choice but dont let this annoying episode ruin your enjoyment of the rest of the vehicle ,thanks for upfate

A4 drivers window wind noise

I got some clear vinyl tubing at a hardware store (about 12 feet just to play it safe) - I think it was 1/8" I.D. tubing. Look at the rubber door seal along the top edge of the door - see how it's kind of a channel shape? Press the tubing into the groove, and cut it off flush with the end of the groove. This will help the doors to seal better to the body of the car, and since you're using tubing, it still allows it to act as a rain gutter for water runoff. If you get 12 feet, you should have enough to do all four doors. It actually makes a difference:)
