I have a vz alloytec v6... Had spark plugs changed...still problem ...rumble shaking when idiling...smoke from exhaust...ideas?

probably not plugs but problem injectors allowing excessive fuel in to the cylinders
smoke ( black ) is over fueling from excessive fuel pressure or leaking injectors or leaking injector seals

Toyota Caldina 1999, too smoke from exhaust

if it is diesel and you have black smoke you need fuel injectors either serviced or replaced also you must check the engine valves clearance. If your smoke is blue white smelling unburned fuel renew injectors. If it is blue white smelling oil and diesel then you will have piston rings and valve steam seals.

Occasional heavy smoke on tickover, but not using oil and oil clean.

HI do you now the color of the smoke
if engine emits white smoke its not burning the fuel
it could be water mixing with fuel = head gasket even tho you
dot have water in the oil
if engine emits black smoke - that's excessive fuel to air ration
check air filter & air inlet to see if clogged

if engine emits blue smoke - excessive oil consumption
cloud be valve seals

I replaced the spark plugs in my 2000 toyota Camry and the issue with missfiring appears to have been solved and it seems to drives just fine now. However, the check engine light is still on and there is...

If the check light is still on, you didn't
properly diagnose the original issues
and resolve them

The spark plugs seldom resolve misfire issues

What codes do you have now?

Check that your not loosing coolant
from a head gasket (white smoke)

Camry 93 v6 emitting smoke.

good day. yes sir he may be right because on fuel injected cars everything should pass to the computer but if it bypasses the computer then something must be wrong so i strongly advice to have your computer box replaced. hope this helps. have a nice day

Intermittantly runs rough, gas smell at tailppie, smoke ---replaced tp,and fuel press regulater

I am having the same problem.... Same car.. I replased all injectors, wires, plugs, dist. Cap and rotor. Pcv valve... Egr valve is good.. it runs great then starts missing bad, fuel smell out the tail pipe and it smokes.... Then it'll clear up for a bit or even a while the it repeats it self... And it seems to me like a sensor or something eletrical is causing the sudden miss and fuel problem.. but I'm lost... I don't know what else to do..

Uses excessive fuel

Brakes could be binding or hand bake cable holding on but you think youd smell burning brakes if that was the case! What condition is the oxy sensor in ,maybe carboned up and contaminated which can tell the engine management to supply more fuel than required.is the air filter air box in good condition and air box lid securely fastened.Should be sealed from air box to throttle body If the air filter is clogged and dirty that can lead to excess fuel consumption.Have you installed any injector cleaner in the fuel tank.cleans up dirty injectors thst can cause excess fuel consumption.
