SOURCE: shift handle moves freely with out shifting trans

The shifter works off a shift cable which is connected to the transmission. The connection of this cable to the transmission is on the drivers side looking straight up were you can see it. The other end connects to the inner part of the shifting mechanisum where you shift
You can only get a replacement at any General Motos dealerships parts department

SOURCE: 97 venture 4 speed electronic transmission not shifting into 4th

4th clutch hub splines are stripped off. GM didn't harden the splines until 2004 or so so the early model gradually wear to the point where they are so thin they strip off - and then, no 4th gear

SOURCE: I an '03 Chevy Venture van whose windshield wipers won't go down.

Your windshield arm is in need of repositioning. Take off the cap on the windshield arm and loosen the nut under the cap. Reposition the arm so that it faces 180 degrees flat to the passenger side of the car. Tighten the nut. This should solve the problem you've described.

I'm getting a moaning sound coming from back end when in park or in motion.

Kind of difficult to troubleshoot/diagnose with so little information, but if you have a rear air conditioner (dual A/C) there's a good chance that it's the culprit. If so equipped, switch the rear unit off and see if the noise stops . . .

My 94 park ave. moans when the a/c compressor activates. a/c other wise works fine.

Doesit moan all the time it's on or just as it starts. If it continues to moan then an orfice tube may be partly clogged. If just as it starts and goes away it's just the freon getting moving in an old car. the compressor has lots of miles and the seals are leaking interanlly in the compressor you say it's still cooling but if this is the case it won't for long. Sometimes the air motors in the dash move to the AC mode and they make noise as they move but should stop makings noise soon after startup

Rear brakes moan on 2003 Chevrolet venture van

Replace them.Ask your friends for recommendations on trusted mechanics or shops, then get them done. 70000 miles is more than enough for a stock set of brake pads.

Try rotating tires. If it gets better or worse, its probably the tires.

2003 Chev Venture Van Moaning Noise

hi from uk from your symptoms re moaning frm drivers side ? assume front?? best advice at this stage is to raise the front wheel and check for any undue wear in the wheel bearing by rocking the wheel top and bottom there should not be any tilting of wheel ? also make sure the wheel is free to rotate with no noise /roughness if so ? then you have a front wheel bearing failing however whilstyou check drivers side? also check the other wheel for same and it would be a good idea to check brake pads for wear during checks as you can do these if/when it becomes apparent the wheel bearing req's attention? all the above is subject to assuming you have checked tyres and pressures are correct ? you could pop car into local tyre depot and they could do checks on above for a quick diagnosis? hope this help check it out ASAP as this could be serious best wishes
