The throttle system probably is bad which is a known issue for all '99 and '00 S80 models. It was covered under warranty for 10 years or 100K miles which ever comes first. It's still not too late to take it to the dealer if your car isn't over 100K and get it replaced for free of charge.

The truck quit running and had it towed home he said it jumped time or blowed up I checked codes and got po-300

This code means random multiple misfires, and could be as simple as a bad ignition module, or can be timing component has "jumped time". If your engine uses a timing belt, you should be able to tell if it has broken by turning crank a little bit back and forth to see if cam is turning (valve cover removed). Most parts stores will test the ignition module for free.

Hi Cindy, I'm glad to help! Here's something you can try, it works on most vehicles. While the alarm is sounding, turn the key in the drivers door several times and see if it stops. If it doesn't and you have a lock cylinder in the liftgate, turn the key several times in the liftgate lock and see if it stops. If it doesn't, try the key in the passenger lock cylinder if it has one. If this doesn't work try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 20 seconds then reconnect it. If the alarm is still sounding then try the doors again, if it still doesn't stop then you'll need to take it to the repair shop. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Cindy!

If the piston is hitting the valves would that be bent push rods

if your trying to get timing marks to line back up and the crankshaft stops turning, reverse direction of the crankshaft a little and then turn the camshaft a quarter turn.Repeat this process until timing marks are lined back up. not sure if this engine is an interference engine (valve bender) or not. Just dont force it past the stop or you could bend a valve for sure. after installing the timing belt, rotate the crankshaft two turns and recheck the timing marks on cam and crank. hope this helps, good luck.

Why wont my car start even after i tried the security reset. i turned key to on position for 10 minutes turned it off then tried to start it 3 times. security light still flashes

turn the key on and wait till the security light stops flashing ( this could take as long as 30 minuets ) then turn the key off then back on but do not try to start the engine and wait till the security light stops flashing ( again this could take as long as 30 minuets ) then turn key off then turn key on and start engine.

My jeep won't start. It will fire and turn over.

I hate when I say this because I can see people looking at me through the computer with one eyebrow raised.

Find a rubber mallet, or someone with a steel toed boot. Have them start hitting the tank (skid plate covering the tank usually works just fine) and try to start it at the same time. If they stop tapping and the Jeep stops running. It's the fuel pump. Most often times, it'll start right up. Sometimes keep running and buy some time.

Kindly let me know if it works so I stop getting that look.
