The exhaust brake may be what you're looking for. The operation is usually by way of a stalk control or maybe a switch mounted on the dash in easy reach of the driver. When its active it works when you release your foot from the gas pedal and restricts the gas being exhausted from the engine, thereby slowing down without the use of the brake. Don't try to use it to stop! Its there for mountaines terain and steep hills....Over use can over heat the engine and cause cylinder head damage.

Did you find any fuses? They usually have some in the main power box under the hood or there may be a panel on the side of the dash.
