How to Reset airbag light

  • Most likely you replaced the clock spring and air bag module right? Well when the srs deploys you also have seatbelt pre-tensioners that are part of the whole retractor assembly and cannot be repaired. Ie either side retractors are not working right , then you need to replace according to chrysler corp.

MDX front passenger seatbelt is twisted.

Don't remove the retractor. Remove the bolt just behind the seat and twist the belt

My rear seatbelt will not retract at all. How can I fix this??

If there is nothing stuck in the retractor that you can pull out to fix the problem, the only other choice is to replace the retractor assembly. This part will be available only at the dealer. (Although most shops will install one for you) It is not recommended that salvage parts be used for restraint systems. I have however, used salvage parts on vehicles where the part was obsolete and no longer available from the dealer.

Drivers seatbelt is fully extended

My first try is always:
tap lightly & carefully on the retractor housing while pulling & releasing tension on the seatbelt.
If that doesn't work:
Blow compressed air into the retractor mechanism (they accumulate dirt/lint).
If that doesn't work:
Disassemble (and clean) the retractor mechanism. Reassemble with a bit of white lithium
grease lubricant (to prevent a recurrence). This is a bit of work, but it'll always work.

Saturn vue 2007, rear folding seat will not return to proper position due to seat belt being locked up.

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat. Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps
