SOURCE: 2006 kia sorento code problem

Bank one implies the drivers side of the motor. With a front wheel drive vehicle its the front as you look at it. The oyygen sensor is in the exaust manifold pipe. it screws into a bung on the pipe and has a wire lead going to a connector (electrical)

SOURCE: crankshaft sensor for 2004 kia sorento

The above information about the sensor being located at the top of the motor to the passenger side of center is bogus. That is only the pig tail plug in. The actual sensor pig tail continues down below, underneath the plastic lower timing belt cover, on the front of the motor, just above the crankshaft timing gear.

It is a very involved process of removing and replacing. You will have to remove all of the belts, the front timing belt covers, (upper and lower). You will also have to remove the front bracket that is mounted to the front of the block, which serves as the mount for the power steering pump, the alternator and the A/C compressor. You will also have to remove the crankshaft pulley. You cannot remove the plastic lower timing belt cover unless you remove all of these things first. The sensor is located underneath the lower cover. It has two bolts that hold it in place. You will have to remove these two bolts.

The crankshaft pulling bolt is a right handed thread and loosens by turning counter clockwise. The pulley will slip off but is a very tight fit. Do not try to turn it while removing it as there is a small pin that keeps it aligned to one position. Use a small ball pine hammer to tap it loose.

It is also a good idea to remove the electric cooling fan shroud that is mounted to the inside side of the radiator and the radiator hoses to give yourself more room to work. It has only two bolts at the top holding it in place. And then slips into two retaining clips at the bottom. Lifting it will pull it out of these retaining clips.

When you remove the small bypass hose located at the top of the radiator , to the passenger side, be careful not to break off the small nipple protruding out of the radiator tank. It is plastic and will break easily if you try to pull the rubber bypass hose from it. This will have to be taken to a radiator shop to have repaired if you accidentally break this off. Be sure to carefully loosen the hose from this nipple before trying to pull it off.

And one more thing, if you go to that much trouble to replace this sensor, it is a good idea to go ahead and replace the timing belt as well. It is a maintenance item and you will have to go through the same process to replace it as well. Do it once and do it all.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: 2005 kia sorento crank shaft position sensor

I HAVE A 2005 KIA SORENTO V-6. MY PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I WOULD DRIVE ON TO THE HWY IT WOULD PUTTER LIKE IF I WAS LOSING POWER. THE HOLE TIME THIS WAS GOING ON MY GAS GAGE WOULD NOT WORK. SO I WENT OUT TO AUTO ZONE HERE IN MADERA CA AND BOUGHT A DIAGNOSTIC TESTER AND THE CODE NUMBER P0338 WHICH MEANS CRANK SHAFT CENSER IS GONE. SO WHEN YOUR GAS GAGE STOP WORKING GET YOUR CAR TESTED OR THE BEST WAY TO GO IS TO INVEST IN A DIAGNOSTIC TESTER. IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY

Show me how Alternator relay on 2011 Kia Sorento look like

Alternators don't have relays. An alternator is a generator of power to charge the battery. Relays are electronic switches using a small amount of power to open and close a larger switch with high amps.

How reset the radio on Kia sorento 2011?

The reset button is located on the face of the unit in the upper right hand corner. It is recessed so a tip of a pen or paper clip will do the trick. When the rest button is pressed the unit powers off and reboots.

2011 kia sorento 2.4L:accelerating will jerk the car and the rpms will drop to zero and stay until I pull over and restart car. Codes P0106 M.A.P. Sensor, and P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor. Which?

Probably the MAP manifold absolute pressure module is bad. Usuall the crank position switch is a cheap fix,if it's not the MAP.
Make SURE you have no disconnected or broken, decayed VACUUM lines.

Location of the oil pressure switch on a 2012 Kia sorento

In the picture at the link you will see a part with the number 94750 near the top of the diagram, that is the oil pressure sensor/switch and that goes into the main assembly part marked 21150A at the rear of the block. It is a 2012 model but the location is the same in 2011.

Here is a link to the diagram.

2011 KIA Sorrento 2.4 were is the fuel pressure regulator located. put on adjustable fuel reg .need to disconnect stock one

fuel pressure regulators are normally located in the fuel manifold. They are either vacuum controlled or electronic controlled to maintain the right fuel pressure for engine requirements and to shut off the fuel pump when the ignition is turned off
If your manually adjusted unit will not do all that then you are asking for fault codes to appear and all sorts of problems to occur

2011 kia sorento car wont start

First off have the battery tested, just because it has enough juice to light the dash and the radio doesn't mean it has the 100 amps needed to run the engine starter motor. Autozone and others do battery testing for free.
