Question about 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
Fuel filter is inside fuel tank. It is an integral part of the fuel pump. It can be replaced but ONLY by very qualified mechanics. Fire explosion risk is too high.

I seem to think the filter is on the side of the transmission below the master cylinder held by a mounting bracket... the newer models have no filter except for a sock in the fuelvtank via fuel pumpl

Hi. If your are faceing the front of the car it will be on your left side at the bottom. You will have to get under the car to see it and if you have a skid plate i has to come down first.

Please follow the steps to change the fuel filter. You would need to remove the left rear seat (four 14mm bolts). I think you'll need to finish cutting through the tabs on the carpet to be able to lift up the carpet. Then remove the access cover. You can then remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank.
Thank you for contacting Fixya.com

The PCM( ECU) is located on the floor center hump, below dash. To excess, remove kick panel to the right of gas pedal.
