Check to make sure the master fuse hasn't blown. It's rather large and should be located next to the fuse box. Also, make sure you don't have a broken battery cable. With an ohm meter, check both the positive and negative cables. You should only see a few ohms of resistance. If you see a really high number or it indicates that it is open, replace the cable. I hope this helps! :)

Sounds like its time to replace ecu pcm. But try resetting it first. Remove negative battery cable and turn key all the ay for 1 min. Then pull positive off and touch the negative cable with positive cable and hold for 5 seconds. Make sure they are not touch battery terminals at all. Good luck

Would the ECC stop the truck from turning on. its not spinning the starter, all relays have been checked and it doesnt sound like the fuel pump is priming when the key is turned in the ignition

If the starter isn't even turning, you may just have a problem with cables. Removing the negative battery cable first (always!), remove all connections from the battery to ground and the stretch of positive cable from your battery to the starter or starter solenoid if separate. Locate the cable that connects the negative side of the battery to both chassis and engine block and clean those stretches.
The starter draws a current of over 100 amperes so any corrosion that interferes with this high current will stop any voltage from reaching the starter. Even a low resistance of 0.1 Ohms will drop 10 volts at a 100 Amps starving the starter.

Why do my headlights and interior lights dim and then battery light comes on

Because your battery is low and your there is a problem in your charging system. Loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal, start the vehicle and then remove the NEGATIVE terminal cable. If you have cables that mount to the front of the battery then start the vehicle and remove the negative cable. If the vehicle dies your alternator or voltage regulator are bad. Most likely the alternator. remove and replace. If the vehicle continues to run turn the lights on and see if it continues. If that is good, drive to Auto Zone, and ask them to come out and help you test the battery. They have a portable machine that will test it for you or have you bring the battery inside and test it for you, they will even help you install the replacement battery if needed.

Truck will not start. All power consumption from battery stopped.

Get a voltmeter or test light. Open the fuse panel in the engine compartment and see if you have voltage there. Check the main fuse. Look closely at the battery connection to see if one of the accessory power wires came off. Lastly, check to make sure you have a good ground connection on the engine and frame and that you have continuity to the negative battery post.

My original battery still has the green eye but can not start the engine due to weak battery power. Why? I had a 2006 Sienna LE purchased brand new from dealer. Thanks. manpower

If the battery checks OK, then it could be corrosion (even after 3 years) either at the battery terminals or at the other end of those heavy cables.
Remove your negative battery terminal first - ALWAYS. Then the positive. Clean them both with a wire brush or terminal cleaning brush.
If it still turns over too slowly, you will need to remove the negative battery terminal, then from under the vehicle, remove the other end of your positive cable from the starter terminal and clean both the terminal and the cable end; reattach.
With the negative still disconnected, locate the other end of this cable (may be on the engine block or bolted to the chassis sheet metal) and, there will be an additional cable that connects the chassis to the engine block or vice - versa. Clean and reattach these.
Finally, reconnect the negative cable to the negative battery terminal.
When I go through this routine, I use either dielectric grease or a least petroleum jelly smeared liberally on each of the mating surfaces before reattaching.
If it still turns over slowly, the green eye is lying! Once started, you can go to any of the larger chain auto parts stores and they will test your battery free.

Car starts, runs, turns off then sometimes wont start??

how old is the battery? is it the origional? cause if you have to jump it then put a new battery in to solve the problem, most batterys say they are good for about 5 yrs to 8 yrs, depending, but if you jump it that brings life of the battery down... try putting a new battery in, and also check all around the vehicle, in the trunk look at the trunk light make sure it turns off when closed, all interior lights make sure they all shut off, check the glove box light to make sure it is shutting off ETC. cause even tho those are small bulbs if they stay on that will drain a battery quick over night... hope this helps.... GET the new battery that should fix your problem....
