I own a toyota mr2 mark 2 my pop up lights seem to be stuck in the up position. is this due to a blown fuse or something more serious?

The motors could be shot. See if you can manually turn the screw mechanism that moves the lights up and down (it's easy to get to at the back of the motor). If you can move the lights up and down manually with ease, I would bet the motor is bad. Check fuses and the voltage going to the motor first, of course, but it's probably the motor. Unfortunately they are expensive to replace.

using a test light, depress brake and see if have 12+ on both wires, when release brake pedal should only have 12+ on one wire, if only have 12+ on one wire then switch is bad.
If you are using a multi-meter, put your negitive on a known ground to test wires

My cruise control will suddenly stop working and the cruise light

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the brake fluid level. This may be an answer. Also have you had the brakes checked. The cruise control is integrated with the brakes. Any little thing wrong with them effects the cruise.

1986 toyota mr2 interior lights is off

Before you start looking a the fuse box, make sure of 2 things: do you have power and a good ground at the light housing. Then, make sure that the door switches are grounded good, and are actually working. If no power, get back to me and I will get you to the fuse box, altho I doubt that the fuse box is the root cause.

All lights on the dashboard are on including battery engine

REPLACE BATTERY GROUND!!! They have caught on fire before due to old ground wires. Get an ebay ground wire kit and connect them in random places in engine compartment. I have 3 on the battery. Its better to be redundant then on fire!

Lights dont work on my 1991 mr2

Try under the hood near the right side of the car. There are also a couple of fuse boxes with fuses for things under the motor bonnet in the rear. They should be labeled and they are covered with black covers. Hope this helps.
