SOURCE: I have a 1987 Dodge Ram 50 sport 2.6 litre the

You have to remove the oil pan - harmonic balancer - timing cover to replace timing chain... to replace cylinder head gasket and not the chain -- you need an assistant to hold the camshaft gear with chain on it. Suspending it with wire to keep the chain from moving the timing (do not let the chain relax as it will come off the crankshaft gear and change the timing)

Price for Replacing a head gasket on a range rover

It is not as simple as replacing the gaskets. No reputable shop will do this without also servicing the heads because they may need to be straightened, valve seats checked etc. Potentially, you are looking at over a grand to do the job properly

I took my 97 Montero sport LS to the shop because I was told that my valve seals may be bad due to the smoke coming out of the tailpipe when i sit idle for a stop light or am in a drive thru. the shop says...

Because a head gasket are not valve seals. What color of smoke is coming out of your tail pipe? if it's burnt oil, have your valve seals replaced. Head gaskets seal the space between block and the cylinder head. I don't know why your head gasket was replaced when a shop told you your valve seals need to be replaced...makes no sense.

How to change spark plug gaskets on a 1999 ford escort sport

The spark plugs do no thave gaskets they are a tapered fit into the cylinder head. Do you mean the seals (2.0 DOHC) that keep oil out of the plug wells, if so you must remplace the valve cover gasket, a very simple job on this engine.

Ford explorer Sport 2001 6 cylinder needs a head gasket or another or engine. Where can I find a cheap engine, and also how much for the head gasket and or job? In the Tampa Bay area.

A head gasket job usually is going to run up to $1000, if the motor has high mileage, 100,000+, I would consider repalcing the motor. You can check car-part.com, which can connect you with salvage yards in your area that would have a motor available for your vehicle.
